The part every application needed, written once.

WORK:Every application the studio starts needs the same things before it can do anything of its own: a way to record an event without losing it, a way to talk to a browser over a bad connection, a way to say who may do what, and a way to run heavy work where the person is rather than in a data centre. Foundation is those things, kept in one place and shared. A new application begins with them already working, and the studio spends its time on the part that is actually the customer’s problem.

OUTCOME:A system can now be started in an afternoon with its durability, its permissions and its transport already decided, instead of a month of the same plumbing written slightly differently each time.
